MM oil filter Adapter and the right Filter????

I purchased a Oil Adapter for my ZTN, wanted to change the oil before spring and wanted to go to a easy filter so bought a adapter from Charlie in Pa, fits great! Qestion 1. is do you have to wlre-work the oil pressure or no??? Qestion 2. What is the correct filter to use as a spin on? Thats best for these ZT models. Thanks

Wes Verbal,
With the #60P23 adapter you can use any classic Chevy truck spin on filter with a 13/16"-16tpi threads, as long as you do not see a rubber flap on the outer drain holes. The common rubber flap is an anti-drain back feature that will restrict flow through the filter. Some excellent filters to use are the NAPA #1061, #1069, and #1794 filters. Just put a five in front of the NAPA part number to change it to a WIX part number filter.
I really do not understand what "wire work" is. Changing a filter on an MM engine does nothing to the oil pressure settings as there is a second, non adjustable, oil pressure release that controls the maximum pressure that is in the oil filter pressure canister.
Happy Motoring
Charlie
