Minneapolis-Moline GVI/Massey Ferguson 95 super

A guy I know is having issues with the clutch on his Massey 95 super, suspect the friction plates may be breaking up. Before he pulls it apart does anyone know if new friction plates are available or only used ones? Any thoughts on prices and availability appreciated.

All plates same on models with hand clutch. Sure there is somee around here. Did a Massey 97 once. Usually center metal disc splits from heat and slippage. Is it set up properly? The actual discs give little problem. Most here have never been touched. Know of one went to boneyard not long ago. I saved some parts off it. Have GV1 going to be parts soon. Sure I could get new but....

Gary, my G706 likes to creep in low gears and acts like the clutch grabs when pulled until the brakes are applied. The adjustment thru the inspection cover seemes correct at the handle. Was this way when I bought at auction.Do I need to split the thing or what do you think?

Back off adjustment until it doesn't grab. Let it slip for awhile then readjust. If rusted
up or foreign matter should be gone. Then readjust. How much grease and oil in clutch area?

Don’t see much of any grease. I did shoot a few pumps in last fall. It had been sitting several years and I have never had a load on it so this spring I will try backing it off and slipping it a little with a load or in road gear. Thanks for the tip.
