I found a fairly nice G900 western gasoline tractor for 3500.00- would this be a low production tractor and
is the price about right? Thanks for the help!

I grew up on and just got done overhauling a g900 gas. In my opinion assuming it is running it is worth it easily. I asked about production numbers on here I was told they made 262 gas 900s. Be prepared though its a thirsty girl. North bad if you are just messing around but with 5 14" in clay it'll burn about 10 galhr. Not joking. I have seen them go higher on auction time.

My book shows that there were 670 gas and LP G900s made from 1967 through early 1969. They were all serial numbered together for both fuel types. In late 1969, the LP models got a separate serial numbering convention, and 160 of those were made. So, yes, a gasoline G900 is fairly low production.

I have two G900s. One is an LP and the other is a diesel. Either is fairly easy on fuel on lighter jobs, and both will suck the fuel when the load has the governor held against the stop, just as one might expect. Both of mine have three point lifts and dual PTOs. I wouldn't take $3500 for either of them. They are worth more than that to me since I use them. Good tractors.

"There were only 219 G900 gasoline produced. 202 row crop and 17 standards." This is the reply I got from bmg1 when I asked this question. I am aware of intermingled serial numbers. I have no idea where this info came from just what I was told.

that a standard tread or is that a geographical reference?
