Hey guys thanks for taking time to read this my dad's got an old Minneapolis Moline Five Star propane burner that when you put it under load at pops and snaps and sputters and loses power. I have replaced the cap the rotor the wires the plugs condenser, does anybody else know what could be wrong. Thank you

Could be starving for fuel. If there are no other apparent causes for starvation, try backing out the economizer on the carburetor, one turn at a time. A lot of them were "trimmed out" for doing light work. Take it out a turn, try it and repeat and see if it helps.

Might need to retard the timing. My UB Special propane did the same thing and it was a timing issue.

Has the fuel filter been changed recently? I have seen them get restricted enough to act that way. A lot of them never got changed unless there was a problem.
