I never miss a year going there. It's amazing the extent that they have gone through to bring history back to life in nearly every field that you can think of from saw mills to printing presses and everything between. Many one of a kind giant tractors are housed there before they are put to use each year. You can't take it all in unless you spend a couple days there at least. I'm glad it's only about 75 miles away from me.

Am planning on going Fri. & Sat. Was there once a few years ago, was amazed at the scope of the place: there were 13 threshing machines running, most driven by steam tractors. The big sawmill was also amazing, driven by 3 steamers. Not a place you would have only one day for.

Not this year, my daughter is coming home to help me paint the house. I happen to be their the year that they first ran that big Snow [brand] engine, and sat the crew down in front, and made mention of the fact from the time they found that engine, till the time they had it moved, and running, to Rollag,10 years had passed. And these were the guys that took their vacations, and spare time and moved it from New York state to Minnesota. They even had found a wrench for that engine, laying on the head, or someplace, not visible when walking bye it, in the move!

Well, looks like none of my friends or family can go with me this year.

I'll be wearing an OPSU camo cap, if you see me and want to compare notes on your area with the Texas panhandle old tractor news... ha ha...

Well it rained on Friday, just to get the house wet, so couldn't paint. Went to Rollag on Sunday, they had a nice display of the Big Four tractors there, all painted up, they looked like they were brand new!

I was there Friday and Saturday... I didn't even mind the rain! Gave everyone more time to sit in the barn and swap stories, which was a lot of fun.

I've got so much respect for everyone up there and all the thousands of volunteer hours of work that it takes to organize and produce a show of that size. I think it is a national treasure!

Hi I am new and participate at the Rollag event, mostly tractor pull area.
I hope all that visited had a good time and great experience. I for one had a couple highlights I enjoy sharing from this year. My oldest daughter (5yrs) came on Sunday and helped drive my pulling tractors to the skid area and she got a lot of thumbs up and smiles as she drove my 1937 JD D on original steel with spikes and she helped during the light classes do the measuring with me. On Saturday after my D got done a father and his daughter, who looks near the age as mine, tracked me down because she wanted to tell me how cool the tractor was and it is stuff like that which can really bring a smile to almost anyone. Between helping and participation in the pull, usually 4-5 different tractors, for me it is about putting on a good show for the spectators any way possible.
Rollag is a great event and hopefully we will have my RTU on the skid making a good show for everyone next year
