Does anyone know the rated horsepower of an international 4000 swather. Have called my local int. dealer, they couldn't find anything. thank you.

Engine was a "C232 AMC six-cylinder".

Rated speed was 2750 RPM.

Average fuel burn when working was 3.2 gallons per hour.

If it's getting GOOD fuel economy, 3.2 gallons per hour X 12HP hrs/gallon that would work out to about 38.4 HP. (Which is NOT the MAX HP you asked about.)

Now go and see if you can find any HP figures for a AMC 232 automotive engine.
