went to devon alta. today and picked up a Moline af 2/16 trip plow today for the m5 to play with! needs a bit of tlc straighten some bent levers and iron, clean up and reweld gob welding that was done. there is a black stencil on top of the frame that says Moline af I'm hoping some experienced members here can confirm it is. the paint looks like prairie gold on the 3 wheel assemblys and I believe the frame was red?? does any one know what years these plows were made?the fellow I bought it from is a die hard allis chalmers man who wanted it gone, didn't fit in with all the orange paint there!! bill has 16 a.c. tractors from d 17's down to u's, hand cranked the u 1st flip of the crank it was purring. I think he has just about every implement a.c. made. bill is 78 years old and in great shape and it was a lot of fun today as bill gave me the tour of his lifetime of collecting a.c. equipment. some pics of the plow. john

I agree with John, its a model AF. It has the later style hitch on it. Mine was
a 1945 model. I updated mine to rubber tires and hydraulic lift for my ZA.

alan could you send me pics of how you did the hydraulic lift conversion, and where would I go to get the rubber wheels to change out the steel wheels. the wheel hubs look the same for steel and rubber? thanks alan

I found a junk plow that had a bent beam lol. It was hydraulic and had rubber
tires so I just swapped them with mine. I will see if I have any pictures. The
3rd bottom bolts outside of the rear coulter just behind the land wheel. Most
plows of that time of other brands did the same thing. You need the 3rd bottom
assembly and the I beam that mounts on top. When you add it you remove your
rear wheel and bolt it to the back of the add on beam.

thanks alan that makes sense, i'll try and do the same. just hope I can get there before the scrappers! are the hubs for the steel and older type spoke like yours the same? switch out with out any mods? thanks john
