as you can see the tractor had sank into the ground and the hub was on the rim, when we picked it up to put on the trailer there was rusty water and muck coming out of the rim where the hub was sitting on it, so will need a new rim as well :!:

The pair look like a great find. I always liked the looks of those with the standard axel, it makes them look like a G-6. The paint doesn't even look very faded so they probably spent some time indoors earlier in their life.

the plan is to restore both tractors to working and looking good condition, it won't be a 10 point show winning restoration, I plan on adding some new upgrades like a chevy altenater as seen on the running tractor, re apolster the seats as close to dyna brown leather as I can get, putting a Donaldson precleaner on the air filter intake. and they will be under cover out of the sun and weather. build a larger battery box and install it just below the starter, larger cca battery, upgrade the lighting front and rear on the fenders, straighten any bent tin and metal work and prep and repaint. john

I like the look of the m5's and gvi as well I think they are the best looking tractor out there and what a tractor should look like. these new tractors with what I call anteater front ends curving down look like they are trying to stuff their face into the dirt! an aerodynamic design on a machine moving at 5mph. really??
