Draining the rear end oil so I can seal up some oil leaks before a new paint job. What oil should I use when replacing it? Are replacement oil filters available anywhere? Thanks!

Oil should be 80W-90 transmission oil. Filter is available from AGCO. Was 20P3339 which subs to 30-3024725.

My original operators manual for a Vista we bought new in 68 states (Drain, flush and refill every 1000 hours or yearly with Minneapolis Moline Transmission-differential fluid, part# 10P3289=5 gallon pail. 20 gallons capacity). It did not use 80/90. We drained ours a couple times and the original oil was a light fluid, green colored as I remember. Later we were told that Amaco 1000 fluid was a good replacement and used that. They have a pump that circulates the fluid and I doubt that 80/90 would pump very easily. We pulled our 3 vistas hard for years and never had the transmission cover off of any of them using that type of oil. I know some guys on here have used heavier oil but I'm just telling you what came in them new and our experience working them hard over the years with no problems.

Take the advice from someone that has overhauled dozens of G1000/Vista/trans and differentials. Put 80-90 in the spur gears and worn bearings will appreciate it. The lube pump will be fine. Your canister filter on passenger side is the same as hydraulic filter. Be sure to check suction screen in differential. Should be around 18 gallons.
