Worst MM tractor?

What do you think is the worst MM tractor built from about 1960 to the end of the yellow, and why? Or if you are in the camp that thinks MM never built a bad tractor, what was the "least good"?

The A4T-1600. It should have stayed on the drawing board to work out the kinks with the 585 engine. Most poor tractors are the result of pushing designs into production that were not ready for the field. Usually pushed by executives looking to reach quotas.

Have to cast a vote for the model V yes it was a avery design but I think the farmall cub or Deere L was much better.

M5 diesel would be top of my list. Poor hydraulics.,leaked. Power steering poor. Radiator
vibrated itself into destruction. A/T poor.

My answer to this question would be a 5 star diesel. They shook, rattled and clattered. Lots of noise , but not a lot of power.

Seems to me that one of biggest problems MM had was that the engineers were not very good fine tuning their designs. The company made many products that were basically good, but could have used some further engineering or design changes. One of the things that drives me nuts, and I seem to run into it a lot, is castings that are not rounded out enough near bolt holes. You cannot get any socket on the head of the bolt. When they are rusty you need all the torque you can get. Yesterday I had to torch the head off a bolt on the underside of a the power-lift unit on an old Z. There was no room for any wrench known to man to fit between the lift and the platform. How did they get the thing installed, take the platform off? How about the brake adjusting nuts on the bottom side of the pedals on 5 Star/M series tractors?

I have a FEL on a 602, what don't like about it is that when you are loading the bucket, if against a pile you have to put the transmission in low range to shift the transmission. Not real handy when using the loader.

Actually if it is like my M670 you need to put the A/T in Low to shift the transmission, if you didn't get the tranny into neutral before the tractor stopped moving.
