Does any one know how many Vista,s were built in the last year of production, which I think was 1970 The Vista that I have serial number is 34601266 ,which should be #80. I am selling my Vista and would like to know Thanks Tim

Agree with fufu602 that yours is no. 80 of 424 diesels built in 1969 which was last year of production. Total production in '69 was 597 if you include the 173 LP's built. The last ones built would have had the 3-speed Ampli-torc. My Vista LP that was built on May 1,1969 (112th LP that year) has the 3-speed.

I'm getting my info from serial number book put out in 1993 that lists MM, Oliver, Cletrac, Avery, Cockshutt, and White serial numbers from 1901 thru 1991. Info on my Vista comes from build card from Floyd County Museum. Also, G-1050 production began in 1969.

(quoted from post at 04:49:23 07/17/17) according to MM page 1970 was last year of production
So can u tell me what date my vista was built # 1266 I am trying to sell this tractor it is in perfect shape lt was rebuilt by Welters in Verona Missouri sheet metal is strait and tires are good

Only way I know to get exact build date is to get the info from Floyd County Museum in Charles City, IA.

3 Speed torc was optional in 1969. Only 35 diesel and 15 LP were equipped with the 3 speed in the middle of the 1969 production run. The last units produced were 2 speed. There were 425 diesel and 175 LP produced in 1969.

Did not know that. I just assumed that when the 3-speed ampli-torc came out in mid production that they just switched to them from there on. Should have known by now that you NEVER assume anything when it comes to MM production!!! Thanks for the info.
