Minneapolis moline Ztn fan belts.

Moved to Moline Fourm have no clue why didnt
post here 1st? I just bought a fan belt for
my Ztn model moline at napa part number #
25-2447 my old belt is #25-9447 XL and is
narrow style this new belt is larger wider
type does this sound like the right belt?
For the Z models, i seen where there are 2
diff engines mine is the "RE type" any input
on this ?

This is how the belt should fit, the width and length. I think all the Z's and R's use the same belt.

Then my belt must be to to big? As my fan has to be pushed to the very top of the fan bracket? Do you know your belt # of the one you have on yours ?

Your ZTN has the old style fan shaft with the plain bearing in it. That is why I wanted to know which engine you had.

Your tractor takes a slightly shorter belt than R Aiken's does, his has the roller bearing fan hub. (It is probably a ZA.) I wish I could help you with part numbers, but I no longer have that info.

P.S. If your fan hub hasn't been drilled for a grease zerk, like many have, be sure to turn the plug to one side, and check that it is full of oil. Engine oil, I think. Its just a long sintered brass bushing in there with oil in the cavity between the bushing and the outside of the hub. You want the oil level to be about level with the center of the shaft.

My 41 ZTU has Gates belt # 3460. My RTE has NAPA 5L-460W.

I just went out and put a tape measure on one of my ZA's . 5/8" width and app. 44" or 45" long
