Stuck at home today and was looking at some old books. What are the differences between the ZTI and ZTS. I can only find a couple of bad quality pictures. The fenders are obviously different and I'm assuming they had 24" rubber. Are the axle housings narrower, different front ends?

I was hoping someone else would answer. The answer is I don't know.

I am thinking there were only about 24 ZTIs made. I have only seen pictures of one or maybe two restored ZTIs. It may actually be pictures of the same tractor made at different shows at different times.

I would think the ZTI would have heavier rear wheels, and perhaps heavier front wheels as well. Weight and traction would be most helpful on hard surfaces. 'Most' RTIs have heavier front and rear wheels. (I have learned in MM land, never say 'all' because there will be some exception out there that MM produced.)

The ZTS that I am familiar with has a sheet steel wheel kinda like the ZTUs but maybe with a different offset. And like you said, the platform is different.

You could call Steve at KLS Implement in Elrosa MN. He has a restored ZTI. It has been restored to original specs.
His phone number is 320-six nine seven-5544
