MM LP engine oil

Was wondering about oil for a LP engine. Do you guys try to use a low ash oil?

I use Rotella in all my old tractors. Gas, diesel, LP all get the same oil.

I agree with Ronnie. On this farm the smallest lawn mower engine to the 9400T and from my UB LP to the wifes 2016 F150 all get the same engine oil, gas, diesel or LP makes no matter.

I also use Rotella T in all tractors and vehicles ---never had to overhaul.. The ONLY thing you need to address is the engine viscosity -- for instance in rel cold conditions use a lighter oil. I use 10 / 30 in tractors that don't pull heavy loads and are used in the winter for feeding. I use 15W / 40 in the larger machines for digging, plowing, etc. I have run mostly LP tractors ( MM, Case, JD, and Farmall ) for the past 40 years. Very clean burning and efficient and lower cost fuel.
