I Bought a 670 years ago that had G blocks on it did that mean it had a g crank in it if so what rods did they use. Thanks

Are you sure they are G jugs? ? If using G jugs and crank, will be logical to use G rods.

Can you pull a spark plug and stick a wire down in the cylinder to check the stroke? I would think you could determine the difference in a 5" and 6" stroke.

Is the engine front cover the old style (as was used on 403 & 283 with old style water pump) : or the later style (as on 336). The front crank seal is different (or so I've been told) . I had a U a while back that had the 336 crank and the later water pump.

I GOT LOOKING AT IT THE OTHER DAY AND MEASURED THE BLOCKS AND THEY ARE ALOT TALLER THAN ON MY OTHER 670 AND 602 BUT THE SAME AS MY OLD 1950 G.

It would be interesting to run it on a dynamometer and see if and how much it beats a standard 670 (around 75 hp).
