My uncle has a 5 Star set up for pulling. I did the engine on it. It has been a fun tractor. I have been thinking about starting to round up pieces to build one for myself. In our area, the classes are called hobby stock. Rules are 10% over RPM, stock appearing blocks heads, carbs etc. No aluminum chassis components or cut tires. The 5 Star is 454 CI, short blocks and square port heads. It holds its own quite well. I've been thinking a disc brake G would be a very good candidate for the ruling. With the tall blocks being allowed on it, it opens up a lot more engine potential. Any one else have any better ideas?
