UTU belt pulley

I want to install a belt pulley on my utu. Is this a service bulletin? I am having trouble finding instructions on how to shim it. If anyone has info it would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I'll ask does it need shimmed? I ask because I took one off of a tractor in a scrap yard and it has a couple between the mounting flange and the trans case? Do these need adjusted or do I just bolt the thing on my tractor the way it was?

U shop manual says shim so there is .006 to .008 clearance on the bevel gears
