GTB rear tire size

What rear tire size options were available on a new GTB? I don't have any literature on the G. Thanks

All information I have seen shows 16.9x34 on GTB : GB went to 18.4x34.

Hi Brian, The literature I have on the U-UB-G diesels lists the G as 14-34 regular and 15-34 optional as well as 15-34 and 18-26 rice tires. I believe my dads GTB had 14-34s.

Ours has the 15/34s (18.4/34) on it and it was a good choice for the field however with the straight front axel in the GTB they will look like they are going down hill all the time where the GB will look level with its arched front axel. The drawbar gets pretty high on the GTB with the larger tire too and if you were pulling it hard like breaking alfalfa that made the front lift sooner than it would with the smaller ones I'd say.

When I bought mine in the early 1980's for $250 it had brand new 16.9x34 Co-ops on the rear and I think new 7.50x18 Co-ops on the front.....Here I am winning the 7000 stock class at our local fair..

They didn't make those tire sizes at that time , they would have been 14-34 or 15-34

Yeah, sorry, my bad. Many folks don't know the cross reference on the older numbers to the later numbers. I just used what more people are familiar with. The 14-15 would be correct for the era. Those numbers no longer used.

That was back in the good old days when a number was a number and you didnt need a calculator and a chart to figure out what is what, like now days lol.
