The original subject was "Re: On the drawing board".
I am currently in San Antonio and doing some research on the V-12. Dallas Lein told me he thought the V-12 engines were tested in a small town with 4 letters. He said East of town, but you said west. Local source said not much irrigation east of town. The small town of Mico is west between SA and Hondo. There was an irrigation company based in SA that sold irrigation equipment during the time of testing. I plan to visit them. Do you have any recollection?
I have copies of some documents which show the 1600 ci engine was shipped back to Minnesota from Fort Stockton. It was damaged in transit. The memo written said a there were interested dealers who wanted to sell the engines, but White never followed up or even inspected the 1600. Any information would help in the search.
