Pic-$13,000 UDLX In 2016

This sold for $13,000 in Minnesota in 2016...This shows that UDLX parts are worth some big money...Thats not a UDLX tractor but the parts around it are....My guess is that someone really needed the cowl laying to the right..I'd love to know what UDLX the original cowl and fenders came from..The grill housing is a reproduction..There must be some other parts there too.

Looks like one to me... it doesn't have regular drum brakes like a production U would have. Also has the extra shifter on top of the transmission.
 
You may be correct...Its so dark that I can't see it real good but it does look like it has 2 sticks...I had a man email me that was at the sale and he said it wasn't right and had no serial number plate..I wish we had a better picture..
 
I'm afraid if I had been there the trailer wouldn't have held it all.....Its a good thing that it was 600 miles away....If it had been closer I would have been there..
 
I was looking it over when a couple of "experts" were talking about it. There were a few real UDLX parts there. The dash ,firewall was there. The engine was a plain ol' u engine and rear end. I think the extra shift lever was just for looks. he's got another one all restored. He has a large car collection I'd love to see.
 
I visited with the owner about the UTC I bought but not the UDLX. Story I heard is that he bought this one buried in a shed and when he got it dug out, this is what he ended up with. He was a very friendly guy and I think you could call him and get the real story. There were some bargains but a good sale overall.

I picked up a nice G706 there for a good price. The auctioneer said on the udlx parts you are buying a pile of tractor parts and some may or may not be from a udlx.
