Hello All,
It seems you cant get some starter pars any more I was just wondering if some one knew where to get quality field coils from, Part 1925081 (Delco Remy P/N)?

You may be farther ahead finding another starter. Im sure there were some of those starter parts that were used on other starters somewhere.

Is there a shop near you that specializes in "generator, alternator, starter rebuilding? ? Most of these shops have a large assortment of used stuff around as well as access to most everything new that is available. Might try the old fashioned phone book yellow pages or google. Some of these parts are pricey enough to justify replacing rather than repair.

I had my M-5 starter repaired in Fergus Falls Minn, but All the old parts were bad including the field winding ---in the end it cost me $245.00. Itwould be cheaper to look for a used one from a salvage yard and have it tested at a repair shop and make sure from the salvage yard that you can return it for a refund or another salvaged starter.
