I have really enjoyed all this UDLX talk. I am from western Renville county in MN. As far as I can tell there was only one UDLX sold in the county. My dad would tell me about a custom corn sheller who would travel this area using a UDLX for power. I think he did this for quite a few years. Also, I think this tractor sat on a dealers lot for a while, I know of 2 farmers who used it. One was dad's neighbor who tried it out, but that didn't last long-his wife wanted nothing to do with all that luxury. The other farmer must have had it for a couple of years before it was traded back in. His son, now 80, told ne they used it for just about everything on the farm. I asked him what it was like to use on the farm. For field work, the cab was hot and dusty. It had a wide turning radius. You had to remove a side fender to use the belt pully. It was slow to get going in "road" gear when pulling loads of grain to the elevator. But once moving he said he could pass trucks! he remembers using the radio, wipers and clock. By the early 1970's I think it was in disrepair and in a pasture somewhere near Raymond. Charlie Slieve (SP) of Lesuer, MN got a hold of it and restored it. He sold it to someone "out east" before the prices of them went up so. I think I have a picture of it somewhere after he restored it. I have a hunch that it was sold out of MM dealership in Sacred Heart MN (Olson IMP). When dad cleaned out that MM dealership , I ended up with a clutch lining that says "comfort tractor" on it. That is probably as close to owning a UDLX as I'll get! Brian
