Heres the Balcom Impl UDLX #310533...I had no serial number or picture for it...It was so easy to find with a little searching..This tractor was stolen in 1964 and wasn't found for 43 years..The top picture is from 1963..The bottom picture is after it was restored in 2008...Check out the link to Balcoms website for lots of pictures..

Is there more to the story? It says it was returned to the dealership in 07, but who returned it? Interesting pictures of all the UDLX's.
 
The sheriff retreived it..The story I heard is that several people had the UDLX between 1964-2007 starting with a tractor jockey that was dead by 2007.......The last person to have it didn't know that it was stolen...He called Balcom Impl hunting 32" tires for it and they asked for the serial number..There was lots of controversy over it and it was tied up in court for awhile...
 
I've been by that place. Right down from the Heritage park on the river heading toward Welcome.

I saw it at Balcom's after they got it back. The story he told me was pretty much the same as you have stated.
 
I found this story to be very interesting so I searched the internet for more answers. Came across a forum where the person who had the tractor talked about his side of the story. His story was interesting too. After a 2 year court battle the tractor was returned to Balcoms. Most of the actors ,after 43 years, were no longer with us or quite elderly so will never probably know the whole truth about the incident. No theft charges were ever filed.
