52 ZAU parts search

I acquired the tractor in question about a year ago. Since I've had the water pump bearings go bad, the fuel bowl and many gaskets show they are bad (oils leaking out and staining the paint). My question is, where can I find parts to start restoring this tractor to its former glory and not this poor excuse for a resto? Also need an oil filter and curious what weight of oil to run in it? I would post a picture but don't know how.

Thanks

Many parts may still be available from Agco. Have a look at your model(zau)on "Agco parts books", to find the part numbers.
If you cant find some parts...send me the part number, I may be able to find them.

Called my local Agco dealer, they don't produce any parts anymore. They are considered obsolete. Agco parts book doesn't have an option for Molines. I'll have to look tomorrow for part numbers, I have a repair catalog and maintenance book.

Your dealer is being lazy, I get stuff from mine quite regularly. All the parts books are available on agcopartsbooks.com. they are listed under White tractors. If you wind up needing salvage parts, I have a ZAU for parts currently, and quite a bit more already on shelves.

417-498-6496 is the phone number for
Welter's farm supply in Verona, Mo.
Several acres of salvage units and
very knowledgeable on the older
tractors. If it's available, they can
get it. New or aftermarket.

I absolutely agree with ChrisQ. I know for a fact that many MM parts are available from Agco, and like he mentioned....MM parts books are under White...I just looked at the ZAU book an hour ago.

I also have gotten MM parts from our local AGCO dealer within the last couple weeks---some came from AGCO, and a couple obsolete gaskets they were able to locate by doing a dealer search.
You said you have the parts book (repair catalog). I have my own also. I look up my own part numbers and take them in. True, some parts are no longer available, but others still are. Don't let them jack you around.
Regarding an oil filter, you may have to get one of Charlie Biler's adapters and use a spin on filter.

I don''t buy any parts from Agco. They are way over priced and don't really care to source MM parts.

The best way to find parts is to know a guy that knows a guy. Connections. Parts are
out there just have to know where to look. Anything specific you are looking for? I
restored a 1952 back in Vo-Tech in the mid 1980s. Being I only use mine in the
summer I usually use 30w oil in it. If it is just general use Im sure 10w-30 would
be fine.
