Modified U diesel

Has anyone made a UTS diesel into a 336 and used Roosa pump setup? Have enough spare parts
to make one.

I've never seen it done, but I can't think of a reason why not. It would be a nice tractor when it would be done. 336 diesels seem economical, make good power, and have lots of torque.

Only thing I carrying is can think is the cam might not be the same. Ive always wondered if you could put 336 diesel heads and pistons in a 403?'never looked into it but think it could be done.

You can't put 336d blocks and heads on a 403. Diesel block, head and crankcase have more head bolts.

I have a M-5D I could fix you up with, but you are probably too far away. It does have a problem with putting diesel in the crankcase though. Need to do a little work on the transfer pump I think.

I have no idea what would be different. Its just a part I'm unsure about and I would think would be different. I know the crank and most of rest is the same but I've never looked into the cam. Knowing online they very well might be the same.

The difference in the cam is the number of cylinders it operates, 336 is 4 cyl and 504 is 6 cyl. The heads etc are two cyl and use multiples for 4/6.

Not sure what you are thinking. U diesel is a 4 cylinder 283 ci. 4 1/4 bore same as GBD or
