First picture is of my dads U with me and my little cousin sitting on it shortly before he sold it. It was round 92 or 93 I was 5. It was sold to local guy who would fix and sell tractors. I've always wanted to find a U like dads. I watched craigslist and would find one here and there but never pursued any. I mentioned this to a friend/co-worker one day and he said his dad had one he would sell. One day dad and I went and had a look, but decided not to purchase because of the price and that the engine might need an overhaul (wrist pin noise maybe). Funny thing was I pointed out to dad that "hey it even has the wore out truck tires on the front like yours did". Every now and then we would talk about that U but always seemed I would find something Oliver to purchase instead. One time we got to talking about who my friend/co-worker's dad bought the U from, over a year after me and dad looked at it the first time. He had gotten from the son of a local guy who would fix/sell old tractors at the time I didn't remember/know who bought the U from my dad. So a couple conversations back and forth between my dad and my friend/co-worker and wouldn't you know it I found my dad's U. Lucky for me I had money to spare, I couldn't hand it over fast enough. Super excited over 20 years later and I have my dad's U back and its here to stay.

Congrats on finding your dad's tractor and bringing it home.

My brother and I still have Dad's old MF 135 diesel. It needs some work but still runs and works. Plan on keeping that one in the family also.
