UT Wide Front Help pics?

Hey guys I have a few questions about a row crop to adjustable wide front swap. I should probably mention that my great granddad bought this UTU tractor new in 1947 with the standard row crop front end-when he purchased it from the dealer new he had them convert it to an adjustable wide front axle-then around 1995 a family friend bought the tractor and converted it back to a row crop end. He sold the wide front end and a few years later I purchased the tractor back. Sorry for the long winded story! Anyway I was just wondering 1: do I need to buy a wide front pedestal along with the axle or was the pedestal a universal part. I've never seen a wide front U as Minneapolis Molines are very few and far between in my part of the world,so I have no idea what the wide font looks like mounted on the tractor-which brings me to question 2: if the pedestals are universal, is there some sort of plate that bolts to the pedestal that attaches to the tie rods to work the wide front? Again I'm sorry for the long winded post and for any confusion that I may cause, I just really want to get this tractor back into the shape that it was in years ago. If possible I would appreciate any info, suggestions or photos especially that you guys have. Thanks!

To convert a narrow front to wide:
you will need axle, pedestal (that
axle pivot pin goes through) ,
wishbone brace (axle to bell housing
to prevent breaking pedestal) , gear
box (mounts on side of
transmission/bell housing) and the
wide front "tub" (I call it ) that
goes in front of engine, replacing
narrow front assembly that radiator
mounts on as well as grill. I am
describing a "standard" wide front.
The UTE (adjustable tread ) that sits
farther forward than the UTS will be
similar but not exactly the same.

I removed a Swartz wide front end off of a utu. There are two plates that bolt to the tractor that the front end mounts to. You have to remove the spindle on the narrow set up for the arm that the tie rods hook to. The pedistle does not have to be changed.

I should have added that it is a Swartz model 6. You use your hubs and wheels.Cannot get pictures off of phone to post. Took about three hours to switch to the narrow front.

Here are some photos of a wide front end for a Moline U that all states ag parts has for sale online, I'm not sure that it's a Swartz or not. I appreciate the help!

Awesome I appreciate it! So I guess all I have left to do is pull the old spindle out of my pedestal and put in a new spindle out of the wide front pedestal?
