Gear oil leak un UB

My UB is leaking gear oil. It appears to be coming from where the brake assemblies bolt to the main case. I re-tightened all the bolts-a couple were quite loose--but it did not take care of the problem. I've never had one of these apart. Is this something a novice can do? Are there seals in there or gaskets or what? I checked the fluid level and it is not over full.
I hate to get too deep into this, but at the same time it would be nice to be rid of the oil leak before putting paint on it. What exactly is all involved in tearing this apart? There's no live PTO or anything on this tractor.

I replaced those seals on my UB. Remove fenders and brake assembly removal is logical.

There are two seals. One is 4" diameter (National 416921) Other is 3 7/8" diameter (National 417158)

They will be narrower that original seals. Set one full outside, other flush inside with gap between.

Thanks for the info and the part nos. I'll have to get brave and tear into it. Not sure how to do email in modern view, but if I run into problems I'll come back on here.
Is there a gasket where the brake assembly bolts on, or do those seals take care of that?
