MM R governor

The governor on my R is slow to respond. I have gone through the linkage to the carburetor, so it is not that. I am looking for a rebuild kit, or another one, or someone who rebuilds them. Any help would be appreciated.

I've had motec do some in the past, and they turned out nice. I think he puts bigger pins in the weighs to eliminate slop and puts in new bushings. However, I have heard several people say that motec isn't shipping stuff out or getting things done. There are no kits available that I know of. If you don't mind tinkering, they aren't hard to tighten up with a little time and some bigger pins. If you screw yours up too bad, I have about 15 of them on the shelf in various stages of wore out

I redid the one on my U. I drilled the housing out and put starter bushings in to the houaing. had a new top shaft made and new bearing and weight pins from welters. It worked great cost me about fifty dollars total.
