Some friends that run a salvage yard called to tell me about a 670 MM LP that they had recently
gotten in...It had a Bell Tractor Sales dealer decal on it which brought back lots of memories......
This was a used 670 that Bell Tractor sold to a farmer east of Milo in the late 1960's..This farmer
also got a new M-670 LP tractor...The 670 pictured has a bad tranny and hasn't run in 10 years..

This dealer was located 5 miles SW of me near the little town of Milo,MO...Bell Tractor (Wesley Bell)
was in business from 1966-71....I used to work there part time there setting up machinery and
hauling tractors...I wish that I had a picture of the dealership but I don't..It was torn down in 1972
to be the southbound lane for Hiway 71 which was made in to a 4 lane..Also torn down was a DQ
and a Texaco station..

I kept track of the all new tractors that was sold from 1966-1970....I also have a list of what was traded in
on most of these..Bell Tractor went to Kansas and bought used MM's to sell to customers so probably put
out 75 plus used and new MM's..

New tractors sold..

Jet Stars = 10
U-302's = 9
M-670's = 11
G-900's = 10
G-1000 Vistas = 3

1970 was a drought year so not much was sold..I don't think that he sold a single new 50 series MM
but we did demo a new G-950 diesel...Dad bought a new 670 Super Diesel,a new G-900 Diesel,
a used M-5 LP,and a used 445 MM LP tractors there..He also got a new 5x16 MM plow and a new
MM 14 ft disk..

If you have a picture of an old MM dealers decal please post it....Thanks..

Thank you. Kind of strong for a non-running, broke transmission tractor..... I have a transmission that would bolt right.....

That will be a 1965 model, it has the steering shaft running down the left side like mine.

It's taken me a long time to get back on this one, but we have four tractors with dealer stickers still on them. A 670 super gas, two 670 super diesels, and a 950 diesel. The one 670 diesel is a Fitzke tractor, which was the dealer two towns to the south. We bought the tractor on an auction over that way, so I would say it has always been a local tractor.

If I'm not mistaken, I may have sold you a rocker arm set off a M5 diesel at Le Sueur this spring for on your G706? If not someone else over by Le Center has Moline's too. Give me a call or text me sometime if you want to swing over on a weekend. I don't mind showing off all the broken tractors haha. 612-751-8139

I live only about 10 miles from Pemberton and am familiar with Hofman Implement. It is no longer in business, but the owner is still alive, albeit not in the best of shape. His brother still runs an automotive repair shop in town there. He used to work in the implement shop and has occasionally helped me out with a MM related problem.

I live about 45min. from Witmers. Pretty cool to see that picture. That's where I got all the factory (AGCO) parts for the Vista when putting it back together.

Here is an old Implement sticker, it is hard to read but it is on a 1935 MM-TC KTA tractor at the Anderson's Rock Creek Relics Show. It is from Ray Jeans Implement in Forest Lake MN.

As I am told from other family members, one of my fathers first cousins worked the parts counter there while in High School. I have never verified this because, most of that side of the family was long gone when I was able to remember anything.

Nope wasent me I picked up the 706 on the large auction in Hector this summer. Will definitely take you up sometime on the viewing.

Interesting that Jungclaus is now in Glencoe and Sclauderaff flies the NH flag out of Litchfield. Do you know if Schlauderaff had both locations at that time?
