RTI Hydraulics

Hi All,

I have an RTI that has the Lull loader on it.
It lifts up and down fine but when I go to curl the bucket the tractor almost dies unless I apply almost full throttle.

I'm thinking the bucket may be too heavy? (was homemade by the PO) or could it be that the Hydraulic pump is not large enough / wearing out?

Any insight would be great!

Thanks!

If your pump was wore out it wouldn't kill the tractor. If the bucket was too heavy it wouldn't go up easily. Sounds like a restriction in the valve, a hose going bad internal, or possibly a cylinder messed up. Put a gage in the line and see what pressure you have at one of the bucket valve outlets. A way to check to see if one of the cylinders is messing up and/or one of the hoses to one cylinder, is to remove the pin from the cyl to the bucket. on both cyl. Prop the cyl so they don't get damaged when the cyl rod extends. Then operate the cyl valve. If one shoots out and then the moter lugs before the other starts to move, you have found your problem.

Does the motor lug when you tip the bucket in both directions?
