There have been two early 50s model Us in my grandpa barn that he has been letting a friend store there for the last 15-20 years. One has a wide front end the other is a narrow front end. I have an itch to take one on as a project if I can get it for the right price. What are some things I should know before pulling the trigger and going for it, besides the usual... they both ran when he put them in there, they've just been forgotten about.
Will the wide front end fit on the tractor with the existing narrow front end? If I get them both, are most parts universal between the two, so that I can use one as a parts tractor???
