UTU intake manifold

I inherited a UTU pulling tractor from my grandfather and was looking for info on the intake manifold. I cant find any casting numbers on it and wondering where it came from. Is there a better manifold that i can use? Tractor has M5 jugs and 4209 heads. Runs strong at 63 horsepower but looking for more.

I'm not sure but think it's a gas exaust manifold with
an m5 intake. I think that's as good an intake as
you'll get. Just need to separate from exaust so you
don't have any heat transfer if it's possible.

I agree, it looks like an M670 Super set up. The 4 holes, at least on my M670, harbored
a transfer plate to transfer heat from the exhaust manifold to the intake. If heat
wasnt needed it was bolted on the top two holes that are in the exhaust side. If there
arent any casting numbers on it, it more than likely is a replacement manifold. Usually
casting numbers would be on the side facing you in the picture. The 5 Star manifolds,
and maybe some others had "MM" cast in them by a part number if I remember correctly.

Agree with others on manifolds. More
hp available with higher compression
heads. 4210 should put it in the low
70s. 4207 in high 70s to low 80s. I
have had several in that range.

4233 is even better. About same
compression as 07 but later style
square port intake hole. Be sure they
are not cracked. Common issue with
square port heads is cracking. You
will also need the shorter head studs
and pushrods since that head is not as
tall as the 09.
