removing clutch from moline gvi

I'm in the process of building a moline gvi puller. I'm trying to get the clutch apart so I can get upgraded ones in. I've removed the lock nut and washer. Should the plates just pull out from there or am I missing something

More than likely just stuck. I remember seeing a picture in a U manual that they used a
puller on it and then I believe bump the bolt of the puller with a hammer to jar it
loose. I wouldnt put too much pressure on it doing that way though.

on our GB, the clutch is on a tapered shaft. After much effort and frustration, I hired a mechanic with a large puller and porta-power. Took a lot of psi before it "popped". It went well, but I hope yours is easier.

If you hit the end of the clutch shaft with a big hammer a couple of times after removing the nut and washer, it usually pops the plates loose,or at least makes the puller pressure much less.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I finally got the
clutches out. Now I'm gonna start tearing apart the
transmission so I can put all new bearings in it, while
I'm in there I'm looking to speed up the rear end. Has
anyone done this before or know if there's another
ring and pinion that quicker. I know my U puller had
a quicker set up in it but I'm not sure if there's
another model I could just bolt in it or what. Thanks.
