UTE Survivors

Is there many UTE models in collections? I picked up one out of a scrap yards several years ago. Can't say I have seen another.

My UBU-LP parts tractor has a Schwartz adjustable wide front on it.
The main reason I bought it.

MM UTE 1951 to 1954, 04300001 to 04300265 , should find another, there were 264 more of them. I have a RTE and a UBE.

My UTE is sn 147. I also have a RTE,ZTE,ZAE and a UBE Special diesel. Have my eye on a UBED. Would only need a UBE to complete set.

There's at least one other one out there. I googled it and this picture came up.

Thanks for picture. Possible the front end was too light for tractor. Maybe many got busted
up. It is same front end as R or Z.

I have one I bought for parts.I haven't taken much off of it yet if someone wants it let me know.there is no tag but I got it from the original owners son and he said it always had the wide front.it also has the hand clutch on the left brake. for the PTO and that is a little different than the one on my UB .Lon [email protected]

Haha that's mine in the picture! That was taken at Le Sueur Pioneer Power several years ago. MM monitor drill behind it. By serial number the tractor is a 1952 UTU. Someone must have changed the font end somewhere in its life. My uncle has a 52 UTE by serial number with live power and disk brakes. Also have a 53 ZAE with live power.

Here is my 1951 with disc brakes and and left hand live power option, I think front end type depends on your areas popularity when they were new. Here in WNY the U fronts were most common then I would say the E's judging by what I've seen and collected in the area. I very seldom come across a standard in this area and the only N front was imported from out of state by a collector.
They seem to be fairly weak out by the spindles especially if they are widened out much because a lot of them I've seen are bend back under or have been straitened and welded with usually a pile of turkeycrap reinforcement. This one I had to straiten the left side so the spindle sat strait up and down again.

I have sn 40 that came from bridgeport auction it has drum breaks turns over I need to get it running. I know of one in California think it was in the 240 range

yep, have 2 of them. A good one, with an aftermarket front axle, and a parts machine to eventually swap axle and dual up, with axle duals, as it has the extra long axles. Unless I sell them before I get to the project.
