I decided to give my '51 UTS a face lift this year. I took a rather unconventional approach. Over the winter months I painted all the cast iron parts (which was most of it :D ) with a brush. After it got warm this summer I sprayed the gas tank and all the sheet metal. Other than a little touch up work still needed I don't think it turned out too bad.

WOW! That looks great Rich. It is a very sharp and original looking restoration. Nice attention to details. I've always liked those old UTS's. They are a tough, and nice looking tractor too.

The paint I used was Tallman's Ag specialty enamel-both the brushed part and the sprayed part. Where I brushed it I first used a regular brush, then dabbed over it with one of those foam rubber brushes. It took a little longer but I had all winter and was not in a hurry.

The hydraulic pump is a Char Lynn pump and was on the tractor when I got it. I added all the rest of the hydraulic system. One of my UB's also has a pump like that.
