spark plug wires

I need to know what wire goes to what spark plug on a minneapolis molene jet star 2. My young son pulled them off to change spark plugs and does not remember where they were. I would love a diagram or picture but will take what ever i can get so i can get it running again ASAP. Thank you for your time. J :?

Going off recollection firing order is 1-3-4-2. 1 being the front of the engine. So what you will have to do is rotate the engine until #1 is coming up on compression stroke, then take the distributor cap off and see which spot the rotor is lined up with. That will be #1. Follow the distributor rotation to hook up the other wires and all should be well.

Just to add to what Chris said. Take the number 1 plug out, and roll it over by hand until the compression blows your thumb off the plug hole. You should be able to look in the hole and see when the piston is at top dead center.
