RTI Starter

I've got an RTI.
Possibly an RTI-M
I believe the starter is shot.
Plenty of juice in the battery...lights shine bright. But starter is very sluggish.
Was wondering where I might find a new / replacement
starter or who may rebuild them?

Had the same problem when I got my '48 ZTN. Plenty of current but little response from the starter. Took it apart and noticed the brushes worn down to the brush holders. Turned the armature in my lathe, installed new brushes, and it works perfectly. One thing I learned was the some MM starters are hard to replace, and difficult to get parts for..... thus EXPENSIVE. So be careful when you have a shop rebuild yours.
