Has anyone dealt with Matt at Motec? He has had a governor of mine for over a month and three times promised that he either has sent it or will that day. Did I loose my governor?

He does get covered up. I have dealt with him for years, no problem its just he is very busy. Call again , his wife usually takes care of shipping. His work has been excellent for me.

He is the proverbial one man band. He does get covered up. You haven't lost your gov. unless you shipped it without a return address. I've know him for years, and some of the stories he can tell about getting a box with a carb or gov or whtever with no instructions, no return address, no anything and then people want to know why they don't get their stuff back. Please don't think i am implyin that is what happened to you. just sharing what he has to deal with

I just had a small problem with him, but I got my parts finally and them seem to have been done right. I have done business with him several times over the year and not had a problem. I sent him parts in January with the understanding that it would be a month or so to get them back. Mid February he said they was working on them, mid March he assured me they would be sent out the next week, then never answered a phone call or email until just the other day after I had posted something on FB, then I finally got my parts shipped to me C.O.D, which was fine I just wanted them back. Like I said they appear to be done correctly and right. Now I'm rushing with spring work and trying to finish up a tractor for pulling season in less then 3 weeks.
I have never had a problem with him before, I just wish he had told me the truth instead of stringing me along. I find that a little unacceptable to do business that way, with the reputation he has.
But like I said, I did get my parts and they appear to be done correctly.

7 months to get my carb, gov, and distributor back. And the carb wasn't fixed right, throttle shaft was the original with so much play it wouldn't run right. I expected a rebuilt carb to be better than that.
The distributor was ok, but it wasn't that bad to begin with.
Gov I got back was not the one I sent him. The gov seems OK, but the one I sent him was a different model and I think a better gov. (haven't found much info on it but either way I would expect to get the same parts I sent him back only rebuilt)

So I don't like beating up guys that do this kind of work cause I know it's not always easy, but I feel kinda screwed on this one. The more I see lately about unhappy customers the more po'd I get over it all.
