Okay I need some help to get things lined out. A friend of mine and I bought a G950 from a retired farmer, it has a loader on it so we thought we would use it a bit and then sale it. We are trying to service the ole girl out. I need somebody with more knowledge than I to clear some things up. The hydro tank up in front of the radiator has the filter inside, it holds 9 gal, what does it operate? Where is the pump for this tank located? Next is the ampli torq oil and the rear end oil divided or one big unit? The screen that everyone talks about cleaning is it on top underneath the cab, and if it is is it hard to get to? The filter for the rear end is at the bottom underneath, is there a separate filter for the ampli torq (its a two speed ampli torq by the way). And most important is what type of fluid do I use in the for the ampli torq and rear end? I figure good ole 303 hydro would work. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The tank in front of the radiator is for the hydraulic system. The pump is located on the front left side of the engine. The ampli-torque / rear end oil is all in one. The filter for the rear end oil is in the bottom / back end of the housing. Im betting it would be clean enough. You need to remove the top rear end cover under the cab to access it. If the transmission light is on it could be problems with the lube pump located just above the pto. That is what needed fixing on mine. There has been debates about what oil to use in the rear end. Ive used universal trans-draulic in mine. As long as you arent going to plow all day long it seems to work fine. If it is used in colder weather I think the lube pump would have a problem pumping too thick of oil.
