Im going to go look at a mm jet star 3 on Saturday but have never been around mm so i am looking for info. Is there anything in particular i should look for? The guy was unsure of the hours because it is at his cabin. Has a loader. Are there any problems with these tractors? How hard are replacement parts to come by? I have a little bit of land it this would be used to bush hog, plow, clean etc.

Also it is a yellow frame. Im not sure what exactly that means but i saw some where that the yellow frames where the later model one. If anybody could give more detail that would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

If it has brown paint on the chassis and a Super it would be a 1966 model, all yellow is
1967 and after. If you are running a regular rotary mower they work ok, but too much "brush"
can end up breaking things. Ive seen M5s that were used on brush mowers and half the splines
were worn off the pto shaft and it had a noisy bearing in the rear end. Parts shouldnt be
too much of a problem. They are a neat tractor and handy. I would like one myself.

All yellow would be 1967 or newer. The governors are known to be an issue with these tractors so be sure its functioning
properly. They are a very handy 40 hp class tractor and would be well suited to your needs. Very little changed in that
model over it's production run. Most common parts are still available through AGCO and other aftermarket sources. Gasoline
was the most common fuel but diesel and LP versions were also produced. They were a popular MM tractor so used parts should
not be too difficult to find if needed.

Check the torque amp if it has one!!! Make sure all thing work like power steering. Not the best utility tractor. parts are available but they are more scarce than say ford 8n.
