Been working on a U that has not run in a few years, got it running, put electronic ignition on it new plugs, dist. cap, rotor, but I can't get it to run properly. The adjustment screws on the carb do not do anything, neither does the one on the vaproizer. There are no leaks on the vaporizer, and the tractor idles very nicely, but when you rev it up, it runs rough. I am thinking my carb is shot. I am assuming there are no kits to purchase for this carb and therefore my only option is to buy a new one, needing help, is there anybody out there that can point me in the right directon?

Might be able to take it apart and clean it up good. Sounds like it may be starving for fuel. Welters farm supply in Verona, Mo should be able to help with parts needed if any.

I had a similar problem with my U. Call Matt at Motech Engineering, Tipton, Indiana. 765-963-6628. He set me up with a new Impco vaporizer and carburetor. I am pleased. Not hard to convert.
