Hi All, I'm researching the history of several buildings in Sidney, Nebraska--many of them implement dealers. One of the buildings I'm researching is the Foland Farm Machinery building on Forrest Street on the north side of the railroad tracks. I'm trying to figure out when it opened-the county Assessor says 1929 but other sources say 1938. I'm wondering what if old timers can help pin this down and provide any other recollections about Foland or any of the many other implement dealers in Sidney. I've run across Jim Phelps recollections on this forum which were very helpful. It seems like the sale and repair of ag implements was pretty big business for Sidney. Did Sidney dealers sell to NE Colorado, SE Wyoming, and NW Kansas as well as in the Panhandle?
Thanks,
