Ever See an R or Z with Belly Mower?

I am thinking about getting a Farmall C and putting a 6 ft. belly mower on it. I think a Moline R or Z would be even better though. I would have coolest zero turn mower around.

I bought a Moline rte with a belly mower. It worked fine but I thought it would be easier to run with a foot clutch. So I had a c farmall, and I ended up putting the belly mower under that. In my opinion, I like the c farmall better. Here's a picture of the rte and mower.

I mow now with a riding mower and a Case SC with a pull type rotary mower. The SC has a hand clutch. I don't mind the hand clutch for mowing.

Think I have seen one on an MM but can't remember model. I really like those old r and z the farmall c is a nice little tractor too. For me MM was different or unique.

I can't think of a more cumbersome way of mowing than a farm tractor with a belly mower. Been there, done that.

Our 1950 "R" with a Wood's six ft. mower. Our lawn is about 5 acres and have used this rig for 12 years. Tires are backwards so they do not dig in as much when turning. Clint

Still have the Moline? How much did you have to modify the mower to make it work on the Farmall? The rear PTO shaft is offset to one side on the Moline, right?

I like it. Was the mower made for the Moline or was it made for a different tractor and you modified it to work?

Yes I still have the moline. I was able to take everything that was on the rte and use it on my farmall c. The pto is offset to the left on the rte, and is centered on the c, but you can just shift the mounting brackets to make the belt run in line with the pulley on the pto. Even the belt worked out.
