W-O-W..... awesome picture. Please post more if you have them. Must be an early one as I notice the rim centers are yellow instead of white.

Im betting the G1050 has probably had a "nose" job by now since a lot of them ended up bad. Cant speak for the gal though if she has or not lol.

Am I the only one not too distracted by the woman on the tractor to notice the belt shield for the alternator is missing on a brand new tractor? Also, it looks like the picture was taken in front of the water tower, same as the red 950 in the MMCI calendar. Also, shouldn't it have the same style air cleaner top as like a G1000? I know our 950 does. This really is an interesting photo.

I think you're right about the cooling fan shield missing on the Alternator, I know my new 806 had one, but it cracked on top after about a 1,000 hours, So is the the water tower, at the Minneapolis Moline factory, on Lake Street ??

I just noticed the air cleaner too. Havent seen one like that before on the 50 series. Maybe this is an early prototype perhaps?

Well when I first looked at the picture, my mother said look at the Beehive on the woman.

I didn't notice that, I was looking at the nose of the tractor, it was pointed out in a earlier post but isn't that a White nose piece?

I agree that it could be a prototype. The "bubble" nose looks a little odd and it almost looks like the side of the grill is covered (masked) with kraft paper.

Likely a prototype. Nose cone is held on with small latches just below the black stripe instead of the production latch over the top of the black stripe. I've seen this style early latch on an experimental "X" serial number G1050 sold at an auction 4 years ago. That G1050 had an early A4T 1400 engine in it at the time. Probably an engine that was swapped out for a D585 at one time.

That looks like a A.O.Smith Harvestor there in the background, which they used for water storage containers, But i am wandering where that structure sits ??? Anybody know?

Here is for those who do not have the MMCI calendar. Caption states that it is at the Hopkins factory, at the base of the water tower. The blacktop and concrete looks similar as does the water tower. Notice this 950 has no 950 decal on the front panel, and has a different fuel filter set up. It also has Oliver style fender fuel tanks.
