u power steering

Let me rephrase my question. Does a UTU hydraulic pump make enough pressure to power a char Lynn torque generator?

Not sure on your UT but my '53 UBU has a Char Lynn system with a aux. pump ran off the back of the fan pulley. A few years ago I bought another '53 UBU for parts and it has a Behlen system on it. The Behlen system is plumbed into the main hi-pressure line between the pump and the control box under the LP tank. At least some add on power steering systems work with the factory hydraulic system.
The reason I bought the parts UBU was that it had a Schwartz wide front conversion on it. But no radiator, tires, wheels.etc.

What I have going on If I have a Charlynn torque generator but I don't have the rest of the system.i know there are some that used as a Tractor Hydraulic. If you makes enough pressure I'm wondering if I can put a flow divider in it and run to Charlene torque generator off of the u hydraulic system.

maximum pressure on the torque generator is 1200 psi. it will run off an m belly pump which is about 850 psi. you should be good to go.

The UBU I have that has the Behlen system on it has no flow divider. The line out of the pump goes to one of the fittings on the power steering and the other fitting goes to the reservoir/valve assembly under the LP Tank.

I think the Behlen system has a built in flow divider. The Yetter is similar. AC used the Behlen as standard equipment on the late WD 45 s ( It might have been optional). The Behlen is a much stronger system than the Char-Lynn. Works a lot better if you have a loader on the tractor. But it is a whole lot bulkier. Especially on an MM tractor.

Yes Alan, thanks for asking. I weaned myself off the walker about one and a half weeks ago. Still limping, and have some soreness yet. I am still in CA at my son's place. Going home Tue the 2nd. I guess the weather is a little bit better at home than it was. I may just stay in the house at home if it is too bad. Thanks for asking.
