Have a list of -G704's available by serial number in 1963 and at what dealer. Kinda odd that of 123 diesels made 24 were in Western Canada. This would be after some were already sold. Most are high serial numbers.

A HL500 Forklift Rough Terrain Tractor was available to dealers in Dec 1963. Basically was a Big Mo 500 with rear forklift and big tires.
Memo July 65. Dealer Promo for month. If you sold a 705 or 706 you would receive 200$, Group of accessories, or tractor cab. (cabs were not factory installed)

Oct 14 65 G706D 9292$ and M604D 8287$. Only 100 M604D were made. Memo says there is lots in stock. Basically M604's were already two years old as they were made in 63 and 64.

G704 was basically a GV1 with FWA. All supposedly came with 425 motor diesel or lp. My records show sn 45 and 90 came with 504.

Interesting tractors with that 4x4 option, did they do a 4x4 Massey Ferguson 95 or 95 super with that axle? I thinking about the MM 706 and the MF 97 4x4. Does this make the 704 more collectable than a 706 or 97?

With only 123 G704 diesels made, they are very collectibile. I suspect there wee a few Massey 95 Fwa'a. There was no Massey version of G704. Late GV1 the Fwa could be added. I have a bulletin on the procedure.

Serial number lists show MF 95 Super Diesel 4wd made in 1962 only with serial numbers 24900001-50. This would be the same as a G704 diesel. No LP MF units are shown.

Gary,
What records do you have on G704's coming with 504 engines? All G704 left the factory with 425 engines per their serial numbers.

We have a 1962 Massey 95 with FWA that was bought new in our home town here in Saskatchewan by a neighbor. He gave it to me when he retired in 1996 because I had asked to buy it from him whenever he was ready to sell it and had played on it when I was a kid. I was planning to restore it but since have decided to leave it original because of how rare it seems to be and it is in pretty good shape yet. its ser # is 24900015 and I think it has a 425 motor
