How do I tell if the head gasket is bad on a R? The two exaust valves on the back block are white. Had anti freeze in the oil after we ran it the first time this spring and just got to it now. Is there an easy way to tell what is wrong?

May ways a compression test can some times tell. 2. put an air fitting in place of a spark plug and pressurize it. IF radiator bubbles/foams not good!!! Pressurize the radiator with air and see if you hear it in the cylinder. Some times this will isolate where it is leaking.

Odds are it is not head gasket or cracked head. More common is cracked or rotted block.
