I've had this MM disc sitting around for a while. I'm not sure what model it is, but can anyone tell me what kind of hitch set up it should have?

Looks like a KA series, 13' 6"? They were popular. The hitch has a clevis in the shape of a "U" that hooks around the bolt. I have a couple of those discs. I can see if I can get you a picture.

I can't remember how wide it is. That would be great!

I think the 13' 6" discs have 11 disc blades per gang, there were 10 blades per gang on the 12's.

Dad bought a new 14 ft MM disk from our local MM dealer in 1968..I wish that I had pictures of it..Were they
made by Krause?

You have the correct hitch. The hitch you have was an option for fields with rocks. The
springs in the hitch gave the disk some cushion if it hit a solid object in the field. The
standard hitch had a shorter crank to level and no springs. Alan is correct on the model
and the sizes. The disk was patterned after the Krause but were built by MM. The very very
first disks of this design had a little different hitch and might have been built by
Krause. I think there was some kind of agreement between them. The frame was definitely
different. On the Krause the back frame was ahead of the back gangs on the MM the back
frame was behind the rear gangs.

Come to think of it, I bought an MM disc several years ago from the guy who lived where you do now. It was on the east side of your grove about half way down.

That sounds about right. He told me that his dad used to farm the home place there with Minneapolis Molines. Too bad it didn't stay there until I bought the place haha

LOL....I thought that too, but wouldn't be good on my end. Yes, you just need the clevis end. I will have to measure it but it was a piece about 1/2" thick, 5" wide or so. I will get some pictures and post them later.

Here are some pictures of the hitch. I can get better measurements if you need them. There is a piece of pipe, I believe that is spotted on the inside to keep it in which the bolt on the hitch goes through. I have one with the pipe and one without so Im guessing sometimes the welds on the pipe let loose and then that piece eventually gets lost somewhere when it is sitting.
