RTU Restoration

What is the best way to free an RTU engine that sat so long it seized? Also does anyone make an after market 3 point for the rtu? Would it be hard to put hydraulics on it?

First thing to do is pull the plugs out and make sure it has NO water in any cylinder. If no water then fill the cylinders with ATF and put the plugs back in and let ti sit say a week or 2. Then set a 12 volt battery in and pull the plugs and use short fast taps on the starter to see if it frees up. As for hyds I have an RTU that has them and would be a very good tractor for parts for yours in your close enough to me that is

It's definitely a drive from Colorado. How much would you want for it? Do you have any pictures of it?

I want what we have in it which is $500. engine is apart due to a bad set of sleeves but has a new set full set of gaskets with it

Tim: Sorry to be tardy in responding to you, but I have been out of circulation for a few days. My tractor is not a parts tractor. It is complete and runs. It is an early production 1950 RTU by the serial # plate with an "N" front end on it. Therefore, I found the correct fender set for it, which is the straight vertical style. I had them bead blasted and in primer. The rest of the tractor is unrusted straight sheetmetal, patina style. It has a "U" pedestal and good rims with it to convert it back. It has new rear tires, a good front tire, a new battery and cables, new seat cushions (deluxe seat), a new reproduction MM style umbrella, and the extra parts to replace anything that is not up to par. If you are really interested, I could forward a complete list of inclusives. My price is below my investment, but it is not a $500.00 tractor.
